Going on dates doesn’t have to break the bank! Check out our list of budget-friendly date ideas.
Rent a movie
This is one of my favorite dates. Every month or so, my fiancé and I rent a movie through the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live, grab a bucket of popcorn and some sodas, and treat ourselves to a nice night. It’s way cheaper than going to the movies (a rental will cost you about $5 compared to a $30 trip to the movies), and you get to stay right in the comfort of your home in your pajamas!
Go on a picnic
Picnics are always romantic! Bring a picnic basket filled with you and your partner’s favorite snacks and a blanket and have a nice, relaxing picnic in the park. It may sound cliché, but it’s sure to be a fun time.
Go for a bicycle ride
Some people may think of bicycling as strictly exercise, but it’s a lot of fun, too! Entrance to local parks is less than $10, and you can enjoy an entire day of bicycling outdoors with your date. Sometimes it’s nice to unplug and enjoy a day with no electronics.
Browse local farmers’ markets
Farmers’ markets are a great place to go with a date. They typically sell anything from fresh fruits and veggies to homemade soaps, popcorn, baked goods, jewelry, and more! It’s farmers’ market season, so get out there and find some goodies with your date!
