Decorate for Halloween without breaking the bank! These last minute decorating ideas are sure to bring the Halloween spirit. Many of the supplies for these decorations can be found around the home.
You don’t need fancy stencils or a pro carving kit to decorate pumpkins. Cut out shapes with craft foam or felt and glue the shapes to your pumpkins to make spooky faces. Or grab a permanent marker and draw your Jack O’ Lantern face right onto the pumpkin. No carving required!
Tip: Support local growers and buy your pumpkins from a stand near you! Check the ‘Produce’ section of The Guide Classifieds.
Paper bag lanterns are a great way to decorate your walkway or porch. Use a permanent marker to draw fun pumpkin faces right onto the paper bags. Then, use a flameless tea light to illuminate your homemade lanterns.
Tip: Place some gravel or several small rocks in the bottom of each bag to weigh down the lanterns and prevent them from being blown over.
Cut bat shapes out of black construction paper and turn one of your walls into a scary Halloween scene! All you need is paper, scissors, and tape.
