Mandela Springs Christmas Walking Tour | December 4

From 4pm to 7pm. Walk the decorated town or take the tram, visit 20+ sites with your family & friends. Start at the Firehouse to get the brochure map & shop the vendors. Tour the Waller Gumby house, Charles Paperrella at Barren Creek Springs Church at 5pm, Civil War camp re-enactment, petting zoo, take your own picture w/Santa at his woodshop, free crafts for the kids, a model train exhibit of the Town, Horse & wagon rides by Jay Klaverweiden, Entertainment: Phil Davis, Kings Ambassadors, “Me & the Boys”, “Walk to Bethlehem”, Christmas Stories will be told, exhibits of Christmas past, carolers & town criers. Scarborough Fair & Main Street Treasures gift shops will have extended hours. Free admission & parking at firehouse, 2 locations serving food at 3pm. Bring a flashlight just in case. Don’t forget to stop by the Mardela Fire House starting at 3pm for King’s Family Oysters, Joan Catlin’s Dumplings, our famous homemade chicken salad, baked goods, chicken tenders, french fries, soup, hot dogs, hamburgers, hot chocolate, coffee & more. Children’s Fund Raiser | December 17

Fundraiser to benefit a 1 year old & 5 year old boy with incurable diseases. Sat., Dec. 17, 4pm.  Laurel American Legion Post 19. Fried Chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes w/gravy & green beans. Live & silent  auction, DJ & open cash bar.  Tickets are $20/pp. in advance or at the door.
